The company says that it is ‘deeply involved in the promotion of the emerging crypto-economy,’ working to spread bitcoin through ‘solutions aimed at improving the in-person bitcoin payment experience.’
34 Bytes says that their new POS terminals do not require merchants to use smartphones or tablets to accept bitcoin payments. The terminals are designed to be standalone devices, and can reportedly ‘accept bitcoin transactions from any bitcoin wallet application.’ Received bitcoin payments can be processed through Coinbase, or can be stored in a cold wallet.
