Ukrainian Bitcoin Exchange Reports Hack

Ukrainian Bitcoin Exchange BTCTRADE.com.ua recently announced the discontinuation of its services after confirming to have been hacked.
The company is currently in the process of calculating the amount of losses, as per a notification published on its official website. It reads: ‘Unfortunately, today we experienced yet another hack. We’re clearing up amount of losses, please be patient. Don’t send money to the exchange’s wallets.’
Amusingly, BTCTRADE has already been the victim of a similar hack earlier this year. Back then, the Bitcoin exchange had lost around 30 BTC (an equivalent of $USD6,900) following a technical fault. It however repaid the affected customers right away. BTCTRADE meanwhile had also fallen inside a controversial circle for its alleged involvement in providing services to illegal arm dealers in Ukraine. This allegation had further severed theexchange’s working relations with its banking partner, the Private Bank.
