Bitcoin Entrepreneur: ‘In Five Years, ‘Bitcoin’ Won’t Exist – And That’s Okay’

NEW YORK (InsideBitcoins) – Halsey Minor is a bitcoin entrepreneur, but you might not believe it if you read the headline to the latest post on his company’s blog. Minor founded CNET, the online consumer tech guide in 1993, which he sold to CBS for $1.8 billion in 2008. Other endeavors, such as SalesForce and a precursor to Google Voice were also homeruns. But Minor has had his share of setbacks, as well – a party to numerous lawsuits and disputes, he filed for bankruptcy in May of 2013 and reportedly still owes millions of dollars in back taxes to the State of California. Still, less than one year ago, he founded BitReserve, a ‘next generation digital money service.’

But today, Minor put on his contrarian cap and said something bitcoin entrepreneurs would likely never mutter aloud: ‘In five years, bitcoin won’t exist – and that’s okay.’
