BITCOIN FOUNDATION SEEKS STANDARDIZATION OF THE BITCOIN EXPERIENCE

NEW YORK (InsideBitcoins) – In an attempt to increase Bitcoin adoption, the Bitcoin Foundation’s Financial Standards Working Group is working to find ways to get the average person interested and using Bitcoin.
The group is chaired by Beth Moses, an aerospace engineer who used to work with NASA but is now with Virgin Galactic.
The three pieces of business that the group intends to tackle are applying for ISO 4217 approval for the currency, determining a universal currency symbol, and finding more order to the subunits.
ISO 4217 is the standard for currency codes internationally. The foundation hopes that by getting the certification, it will allow for international transactions to occur with greater ease.
