THE SHANGHAI BITCOIN CONFERENCE WAS AWESOME

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending what was billed as ‘THE MOST INFLUENTIAL BITCOIN EXPOEVER!!!!!!11!’ (emphasis and exclamation points mine). Coming with a 500 Euro price tag for tickets, the event organizers, CryptoEvents, set the bar for expectations quite high. Unfortunately, I did not come to the same conclusion about the importance that this conference held. Judging by the photo posted on their website, one might think that the conference was going to be held on Shanghai’s beautiful riverside area, The Bund. Instead, it was located in an industrial area nearly an hour outside of the city, surrounded by smog-emitting factories and rubble. (The conference center itself was nice, but its location wasn’t.)
